SOOO yeah, we already were "engaged" unofficially for a little more than a year, like just friends knew...but Joel took my parents out to eat, asked their permission and blessing (yes old school, i love it, keeps the respect)but yeah. June 13th was our 2 year anniversary, (the day i graduated high school to! a lot happened that day) we went to the Milwaukee Art museum before my graduation ceremony so that we could still have it feel like our 2 yr, my feet were killing me lol because it had been a long time since i hadn't worn those heels for a lonnnnnggggg time, and we were getting really close to the infinity room, (which is where i hoped he would propose because it's one of my favorite places and it would have a lot of meaning to the whole thing, i mean, the INFINITY room lol) and out of no where he said he had to use the bathroom! i was in immense pain, and the bathrooms were on the floor below us...which meant pain due to stairs...and that is a lot of pain! sooo i was a little ticked, and he knew it. We went down the stairs slowly and he went in and i wandered around. all i wanted to do was go into the room then head downstairs and wait to be picked up, since it was about time to go...it would have taken but a minute...but no, he HAD to go lol. WE WERE IN EYE SIGHT OF IT! like 10 steps away! I just wanted to pain to stop lol...but at the same time my mind kept saying, i hope when he decides to propose, the room is still at the museum and he does it in there...didn't think he was going to do it that day lol...so we eventually made it back up to the right floor, as we walk over there we take our time, reading things and such, enjoying the info. and then we put on the little footie slipper things and go up the steps, draw back the heavy black curtain, and step in...it is a smallish glass box that behind the glass walls, hold thousands of little whitish lights in rows with mirrors and such above and below you(which is why you wear the slippers, so u don't scratch anything) and it give you this feeling that you are floating in an eternity. It is simply amazing...and well, we discussed how much we loved it in there, held each other quietly, then i walked a little and looked all over to take as much as i could in, he kept his hand in his pocket lol and i turn around and he gets on one knee (yes, ik we already felt we were engaged but when he did this, i was like, holy bananas, this is real!!) so i breathed all quick like, he said "Bonita, will you marry me?" and i shook my head yes, then thought, i should say yes out loud dummy! lol so then i said yes...took the gorgeous ring from the holder, and he put it on my finger!....then we walked out after hugging and a nice kiss, then floated home lol with pain pulsing feet...my mom knew already and as soon as i got in the car she turned around and said "alright, let me see that rock" she didn't even wait to see if i said yes lol...she knew i would...AND so, i was rushed off to graduation, which is a whole different story lol...it was a great day! <3
